On Holy Monday of March 2024 - a day recognized by Christians worldwide to be the anniversary date of when Jesus drove the corrupt and swindling "money changers" from the temple in Jerusalem- Donald Trump drew parallels between himself and Jesus Christ while facing charges for an alleged hush money payment to Stormy Daniels in court. He shared a message from a supporter on social media, which stated, "It's ironic that Christ walked through His greatest persecution the very week they are trying to steal your property from you."

The post included a quote from Psalm 109:3-8 (NKJV), a biblical passage seeking God's punishment for false accusers. By sharing this verse, Trump positioned himself as an innocent victim of persecution, while implying his accusers should face consequences. The quote also featured an American flag icon next to the phrase "let another take his office."
Trump reposted the message with the heading, "Received this morning--Beautiful, thank you!"
